The 1970s’ hit American drama series, Charlie’s Angels, is all set to make waves on the major screen, but with a fantastic new cast and crew, and a plausible inspiring twist. Charlie’s Angels featured three daring private detectives whose work required them to walk down the aisles in either skimpy swimsuits or heavy dressing gowns.
Whether it was Charlie’s Angels with its 155 episodes or Pretty Woman on the big screen – both a massive hit – viewers want to see whether there is more to such comedic love stories other than just casual sexism and sexy attire.
Set in the modern daylight with Kristen Stewart looking as badass as she does off-screen as well in her suede leather jacket, Charlie’s Angels reboot is reported to feature a twist that is adherent to the modern pop culture and contemporary cinematic action. Kristen Stewart, along with NaomiScott and Ella Balinska, will star alongside Noah Centineo – the heartthrob who has surprisingly taken Netflix by storm with his appearance, winter wear, charm, and boyish looks.
While this is not Noah-centered, let’s shed some light on the reboot of Charlie’s Angels, and discuss as to how this remake might be a ‘woke’ opportunity for both cinema and Hollywood. The franchise is supposed to be directed by none other than Pitch Perfect’s prime producer, Elizabeth Banks. With the hope that Charlie’s Angels is actually underway and is set to make its waves in cinematic theaters by September 27th, 2019, is not only giving fans a major adrenaline rush, but is also raising their hopes to a degree where only Elizabeth Banks’ directorial attributes can reach.
Kristen Stewart, who is probably known for her portrayal as Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga will be earning her ground as an action heroin who doesn’t cater to misogyny and the awful ‘damsel in distress’ persona. As Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart probably played the role of a timid teenager, who despite finding solace in her laundry and possibly her American movie Antiquities jacket, had been love-struck to depths unleashed.
Not only is Charlie’s Angels getting a reboot, but so is Kristen Stewart’s plausible ‘damsel in distress’ persona. The Charlie’s Angels reboot that aired in 2000 featured Cameron Diaz making a fool of herself before the camera – the storyline was somewhat similar to the 70s show, and still hovered around sexism and lunacy at the most.
This reboot gives fans hope – Kristen Stewart stars as a character who you wouldn’t dare to mess with, given her persona and idiosyncratic style. Kristen Stewart is not only oozing with talent, but her formidable crime-fighting action stunts might make Hollywood prone to change.
Kristen Stewart claims that her character is more gritty and tougher than the last two versions of Charlie’s Angels. While she doesn’t disagree to the comedic sequences of the first two versions, she still claims that this version might be woke due to the fact that it might feature a sequence on the adversaries afflicted by the #MeToo Movement.
She also says that Hollywood needs grittier women – clad in Antiquities Andrew J. West Jackets would be a pleasant surprise, though – and women-priority shows and movies to grace the cinematic hood. With this approach, she is glad to be a part of an action hero flick that not only prioritizes women-centric movies, but also gives everyone a resounding call for change, approval, and praise.
Let us hope that the cast performs a lot of action stunts in Walt Antiquities jackets, and get the credit for breaking a nose or two in the upcoming 2019 Charlie’s Angels reboot.
