The 80s and 90s have considerably been remarkable decades in the history of music and cinema altogether. While we’re talking of cinema, let us ponder over some of the greatest action hero movies of all time that not only featured women as leading protagonists – clad in Burberry jacket womens – but also gave Hollywood a chance to strip out of its male dominated caskets.
Imagine
watching the fearless Uma Thurman in the Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill – only to
find yourself completely hung over her resonant presence – and then catching
her in a chick flick, Primetime, a few years later to get your hearts
shattered. While Primetime featured both movie icons, Meryl Streep and UmaThurman as two of the leading characters, let us not drift away from our main category
today.
Today,
we bring you, 3 of the oldest yet greatest and most influential women
superheroes.
SIGOURNEY WEAVER AS ELLEN RIPLEY IN ALIENS:
SIGOURNEY WEAVER AS ELLEN RIPLEY IN ALIENS:
Sequel
to the Alien Franchise, Aliens (1986), achieved immense praise and accolades
for dodging the curse of irrelevant sequels and mindless screenplays. By
featuring Sigourney Weaver as Lieutenant Ellen Ripley, Aliens not only
immortalized her character, but also gave millions of women a protagonist to
look up to.
Aliens(1986) is immersed in existential dread and is downright gothic and gory, but Ripley somehow, with her intense normalcy and brutal survival instincts gave Hollywood cinema a lot to rave about in the years to come. Ripley brought down all of those destructive aliens not by her strength, but by using her impeccable wit and the drive to set things right for infinity.

When
it comes to showing women in body diverse roles, Hollywood cinema is plagued
with casting females who have somewhat features that are no less than the
models walking the Victoria Secrets’ ramp. However, the Terminator series
proved to be something else, truly.
LindaHamilton not only defied the model features by working out for her role as
Sarah Connor in the Terminator series, but her ripped physique allowed her to
march towards stealth and win the pride of her character.
No female
action hero is incomplete without the necessary artillery and armour, and of
course a zipped leather jacket. However, no matter whatever the action hero
clads – be it a women’s fleece jacket
– we think that their characters are immortalized by the way they portray it on
screen.
One
such example of women action heroes who sprout fiery and contemporary action on
cinema is Pam Grier as the legendary Foxy Brown. Foxy Brown’s afro had been the
highlight of the movie, and while it may seem something truly irrelevant to
crush on, but we can’t forget the scene where Foxy manages to leave everyone in
awe by pulling out a gun from her beautiful afro hairstyle.
Talking
about our favourite women action heroes has given us an urge to spend our next
weekend binging on some of the most iconic movies of all time. This weekend, we
will throw in a little bit of Foxy Brown and practice pulling a pocket knife
out of our messy bun while we adorn a quilted jacket women in style.
I gotta admit, being a woman, i literally had no interest in Women Quilted Coats in any form of fashion until a few years ago. In fact, i often regarded them as old styled and outdated outerwears. However, things change and so does one’s perspective. I can proudly claim, at the moment i have an entire collection of quilted outerwears.
